Are you a SWOT?
What do we mean here?
In business we are encouraged to identify how we can grow and one of those tools many in business use is examining the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of the industry you are within.
Take the first letter of each word and you have SWOT.
It is something I have followed every year, since first in business in 1988, and when I am chasing down a target, I focus upon this quarterly to help with planning.
This year, I spotted four threats (three dealt with), two weaknesses (both dealt with), many strengths and 22 opportunities - the latter opportunities all relate to increased income. Nice.
