Make Your Marketing Budget Go Further

Save Money - and be kind to the environment A corporate brochure is often the flagship piece of marketing collateral produced by companies, it's the chance to show-off your organisation with plenty of nice images and well written text and to talk to your customers and prospects in the tone of voice that reflects the professionalism of your organisation. It's little wonder that the production of such an item can be quite expensive and take a significant chunk out of any marketing budget. I'm often amazed then, when visiting clients to see boxes of brochures sitting under desks and in stationery cupboards, when they could be in front of potential customers. Not only is it a waste of a potentially great sales resource, but also, of the money spent on printing the finished article. So you've been through the production process and are ready to order (over-order) your printed brochures. First ask yourself, do all my customers actually want another piece of literature clogging up their files, and if you are sending them out to new prospects, are they going to get to the right person or end up in the receptionists bin? So what's the solution? Once your brochure is ready to print, do you know it's relatively inexpensive to produce an online version from the same print ready artwork? They are user friendly, and there's no limit how many you send out - plus there are no postage or envelope costs involved in the distribution. You know your customer is going to receive the brochure while they are sat at their desks, and they can then decide whether or not to print a copy, they can even forward your brochure on to third parties if they desire. Unlike your printed brochure, if some important information about your business changes, there's no reprint required, just amendments to the existing artwork files and an upload. So when it's time to reprint your company literature, consider saving some money (and some trees) reduce your print run and produce an e-brochure.
