The things I do

The things I do

I love and I’m very passionate about the work that I do and the people that I meet whilst doing it. For me these are all I need to make my world go round.  Working in wellbeing is just the best from my perspective.  There are trials and tribulations to face, no doubt and it pains me to see others suffering. But this is the reason I got into doing this - so I could use the pain and experience I had and have to help others to not suffer in the ways - or certainly to the same degree - as I have.

I now have a healthy and balanced life in every area from social to work, from food and nutrition to sleep.  Plus I still include all of the things I love but more in moderation that the extremes that I used to indulge in.  I move my body and I educate my mind.  I approach all I do from a place of awareness and kindness.  I am ever grateful. I relax and I rest, I love and assist and I now give myself credit for doing all of these things. This - I have discovered is one of the most difficult things to do, for both me and many others.

Nothing I do feels like a chore and the interactions that I have with others make a real difference to their lives and are also huge teaching for me also. Take today for example I am only going to be doing the things that I enjoy. I will work with my administrator for two hours this morning getting the operations side of my business sorted out then I will take a break and drink my spinach, avocado, cucumber, and ginger juice. Further to that I will have a coaching client (who is one of my favourites) and with whom I have seen huge progressions in their self-esteem and also how they are going to shape their future. I helped facilitate that which makes me truly grateful for the work that I do with one-to-one coaching clients.

I am then going to teach yoga at a cover class in one of my favourite studios which will be streamed online and have also several in the class itself. I will take my laptop with me to this class and afterwards work on a small product project which I am undertaking.

After that I will cycle - rain allowing - in to see a lovely friend of mine who lives out of the UK but is here briefly. We will have a lovely face-to-face encounter before I get back on my bike and cycle from Victoria back to Battersea.  So I get to work out, have thought time, see beautiful Battersea park and think about my friend, all in one go!  Then I teach yoga again to my lovely established yogis, most of whom I know personally to varying degrees, and get to have fun with whilst helping and inspiring them.

Then it’s home for dinner which I have already planned to be purple sprouting broccoli courgette and coconut milk in a Thai green curry-esque concoction that I will possibly add quinoa to.

On my bed I have a heated under blanket that I will turn on as I get ready for bed and getting in to read my new book about yoga and science. This may sound a little old lady/ naff but I figure if its not hurting anyone else and I enjoy it, then I definitely shouldn’t be embarrassed to tell you about it!

In between all of this I will likely speak to my mum, to a potential new business contact and will have numerous WhatsApp’s conversations with new and old friends largely to make arrangements for us to hang out either virtually or in person.

This definitely represents my typical day and the reason that I tell you all of this is simply because you really can choose the life that you want to have too. We should all make steps to include the things that we want in our life and to expel the things that are no good. Be kind to yourself, do yourself favours and ignite your energy and your spirit.  The more you are kind to yourself, the more you can be kind to others.

Enjoy your day and your life. Always

Much love

æ xx
