Have you experienced “brain fog”?
You just can’t think straight, your brain is spinning with stuff, and more stuff just keeps piling in, and you’re left feeling confused, disorganised and unable to think clearly.
There’s so much going on inside and outside, you can’t see the woods from the trees.
I know the feeling!
When I’m in this place, a great exercise I practice and encourage my clients to, is a thought download.
As a serial note taker, doing a thought download - writing down all my thoughts about a given situation or circumstance, no matter what it is, however big or small, helps me to unpack what’s really going on in my brain.
This is what I needed in my corporate days.
Instead, back then I used to write “to do” lists, and then rewrite lists for lists, plus post-it stuff! Just me…!?!
And whilst I thought this was creating clarity (maybe a little?), it was in fact creating overwhelm.
Now, I know
Brain Fog = Foggy Thinking.
And I know, doing a thought download exercise, seeing, hearing, and noticing my thoughts, and feelings in my body, is the fog lifting.
Actions then come from a place of thinking clearly!
If you’d like to clear your foggy thinking, just drop me a message, let’s talk, and I’ll share this simple practice with you. [email protected]
All my best
Nemisha
What I do is what I believe, and what I believe is, our thoughts create our results.
I thought if I over delivered and outperformed I’d be recognised and successful.
