Blackburn Rovers traveled to Plymouth looking to claim their fourth league victory of the season at Home Park; however, Devon managed an easy victory thanks to Dave Edwards' second half goal at Home Park.

Hardie began his career at Rangers before making loan appearances at Raith Rovers, St Mirren and Livingston. Under Derek Adams last season he became a regular in helping the Pilgrims reach the play-off semi-finals.
Hardie became the driving force of this match despite an early miss, scoring an important second goal in the 77th minute after Callum Wright's shot evaded Blackburn goalkeeper Aynsley Pears and fell to him for him to sweep in.
Jon Dahl Tomasson will be hoping that Blackburn can build on their impressive opening day victory against Watford by producing another impressive result against Plymouth Argyle this Saturday. However, with Plymouth having covered significant distance this week and potential physical clashes looming for both teams on their itinerary, Blackburn may face another challenging test on Saturday against a potentially tiring opponents like Plymouth.

Blackburn were given a rest in their EFL Cup loss at Walsall and already making up miles when they arrived in Devon on Friday following an 8-0 thrashing of Harrogate Town on the road two weeks prior.
