Finally some good news for Solicitors!

Finally some good news for Solicitors!

Just when Claimant Solicitor's thought they were defeated...

A report made by Transport Committee for MOJ was published.

Within the report seemed real honesty as opposed to politics / the poor Insurance companies.

The most important recommendation in my opinion was for the government not to increase the small claims limit - in my belief this would lead to absolute chaos!  In addition, the injured (without legal representation) would be against the Insurers Legal team.  Hardly a fair contest!

The report also acknowledged that the government thus far has been largely influenced by the Insurance industry.

The report contained sensible measures that would cut down fraudlent claims without taking away people's access to justice.

One can only hope now for two things - (1) that the MOJ listen to the report and act accordingly and (2) that the findings of this report get as much media attention that has been given to the constant bleating from the Insurance industry!
