Anxiety and stress can cause upset in both mental and physical health. In the work place this can impact performance, concentration, communication and achievement.

Impact of wellbeing 
Supporting employees and colleagues with managing anxiety and stress means improving their quality of life and this is likely to create a more motivating, engaging and high performing work force.

How can you support your employees and colleagues?
Spot the signs, for example withdrawing from others, avoiding situations, taking time off work, struggling to make decisions.

Offer the following:

  • An open door policy - let your employees/colleagues know your door is open to talk about any worries or concerns
  • Converstaions - put some time aside to talk to your employees/colleagues about some of their triggers to anxiety and stress
  • Get professional support - sign post your employees to counselling services and anxiety/stress management self help.
