Can you video call on WhatsApp web? How to do that?

Can you video call on WhatsApp web? How to do…

Everyone loves using Whatsapp as it allows us to do free video chats with our loved ones other than exchanging messages on IM chat back and forth. Although the interface of Whatsapp is interactive, yet there were a few short-comings to make a note of. Most people did not like the lack of a video call feature on the Whatsapp application.

Hassle-free Communication

If you have Whatsapp activated on your mobile phone, you can speak with anyone at a click of a button. Moreover, you can exchange voice clips along with stickers and emojis. Now there is another feature, allowing the users to send useful stickers and Gifs as well to their friends, family members, and loved ones. But these features were available only on android phones until Whatapp introduced the Whatsapp web.

Whatsapp Web Feature

Now Whatsapp works smoothly on your computer, laptop, and tablet once you connect with the device. To launch the application on your computer, you need to go to the Whatsapp web and scan the code. It’s more comfortable to use the web version when you have to speak with one too many friends at the same time in groups or in personal chat boxes.

WhatsApp had all the features from chatting to voice recording to video sharing options. It did not support the live video call feature at one point. Fortunately, the company has rolled out significant changes, and it now supports the users to make Whatsapp video calls.

Four People at a time

If you choose to make a Whatsapp call from the phone, you can connect with only four people at a time. The video conference on android does not support more members or groups that could be somewhat annoying for those who want to add more people to the chat room.

Whatsapp Video call with 50 People

There’s a way for you to do Whatsapp video calls with up to 50 people simultaneously, and that’s too from the web browser of your laptop, tablet, or computer device.

How to do Whatsapp Video calls on PC?

  • First, you need to login into your computer system and activate Whatsapp on the browser of the device.
  • When you use the web version, make sure that your Facebook account is active with your username and password.
  • Now you will see a three-dotted icon on the top side of the display, tap on the option.
  • Choose the option “create a room”.
  • You will be asked to continue with the Messenger; click on it.
  • If your Facebook is already active, you won’t have to log in. But if it is not, you need to put your details in it to access it.
  • Once you press the option of creating a room, Facebook lets you create a room on a personalized name. Give a name to the room; if it’s a business video conference, you can name it as “Business Meeting.”
  • After creating your room, you will get the link. Now it’s time for you to start the video call.
  • The link that you show on Facebook is shareable. So you can share it with those who you want to add to the video conference.
  • At a time, you can have a video chat with up to 50 business colleagues, friends, or loved ones, and it is beyond amazing.

The Host Gets Control

In order to create a room for hosting a video conference, you must have to enter your details on Facebook. The rest of the members don’t need to login into their accounts to attend the meeting or video session. If you wish to make a Whatsapp web video call with more than 20 people, this new strategy will work like a breeze. However, you can also make the most of it on your smartphone, android phone, or tablet wherever your Whatsapp is installed and active.

When you do a Whatsapp web video call, you have control of the meeting; you can add members, remove members, and allow everyone to share their screen during the live video communication.

Adding People

Just like a Zoom meeting, you can create a room for a meeting, personal video discussion, chat, or discussion on Whatsapp web now. This does not require everyone to log into the Facebook account but the host must be logged into or else the room would be not created.

Some people think that inviting people to WhatsApp web video calls is a bit tricky but it is not. The link generated by Facebook after you create a room makes the meeting accessible to everyone.

The messenger meeting is so easy to understand that you would fall in love with the feature after you use it. Moreover, you will feel that the quality of the video does not become tacky as you add more and more participants to the video group call.

However, if you feel like that your Whatsapp video is blurry,  the messenger or application should not be blamed. A bad network or internet connection is to blame for the bad quality of the video conference.

So I hope this article answers all those who are wondering whether you can video call on Whatsapp web or not. The feature was definitely not available before but now it is available for everyone with an activated conversation on Facebook account.
