Jeffrey A. Huddart was established in 1985 and in 2011 was acquired by Broadthunder Accounting Limited which is owned and managed by Charles Lucas and Tom Bathgate. Charles is a Chartered Accountant with considerable experience of a wide range of businesses, private clients and as a Finance Director in industry. Tom, who after running a family business for 20 years completed his MBA at Lancaster Management School and works as a Business Consultant and Advisor in the practice.
The firm is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) the professional body which was granted a Royal Charter by Queen Victoria in 1880 giving its members the right to use the designation 'chartered accountant'. It has over 138,000 members around the world and is the professional body which ensures that what we do on behalf of our clients maintains high standards of practice and professional conduct.
The practice has developed a specialism for understanding the needs of SME's, the type of support they require, and the quality of service they demand. It has well qualified and highly experienced staff who have been with the practice many years as well an accounts appprentice who is part of the government apprenticeship scheme.
