Looking back on these 30 years of my career, Ian is among the two or three best Leaders I had the pride to work with. He belongs to these rare inspirational leaders who made me grow up on many disciplines as lean manufacturing, operations management and team management.
I particularly appreciated to work under his direction, starting from scratch, and eventually setting up successfully a full automotive components production factory in Russia.
I also asked to be part of his team to address in a crisis mode a huge capacity/quality issue in Denmark. Ian showed his ability to calm down customers and local teams, to lead them step by step to the solution. Removing emotions to focus energies on overcoming this tough period was another example of his skills on leading, coaching, communication and effectiveness.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity and the pleasure to work with him. I still use many of what he taught me. And I consider this is one the main reason of my successful career so far.
