Few people have the opportunity to report to a manager who is also a coach and mentor, but I did when I worked with Leslie at FIS Global. I had the pleasure to know him and collaborate with him for a few months, but they were enough to understand how Leslie could be supportive and full committed to making the difference in his project managers team.
I was particularly impressed by Leslie’s ability to handle even the toughest clients with his calm even in the most critical situation. That skill often takes years to develop among clients, usually in very challenging projects, but it seemed to come perfectly naturally to him.
He was able to bring to the team his footprint as a skilled professional senior project and program manager, helping me and the other members to find the right way to address different kinds of unexpected scenarios which could be faced in nowadays projects. His enthusiastic, optimistic attitude is contagious and serves to energize the team. I have always thought he is a natural leader who has the gift of identifying each team member’s primary talents and bringing out the best in each one focusing and motivating the person as a human being first and then as a professional.
Leslie is not only a committed hard worker but also, he is the best story teller I have ever met: I still remember our lunches together where he used to tell me detailed episodes he lived in his previous job experience; precious teaching stories which could give me the right advice to address similar events in projects I was assigned.
Leslie is an asset for any company and as a member of his team in FIS Global I am grateful to have had the chance to be part of his delivery team
