• I think I got elevator pitch fright recently*

I was on a networking call and couldn't really succinctly nail the what-do-I-do-and-who-do-I-help one liner. Why?

How could I possibly encapsulate all of this into something snappy that captures your attention before you fall asleep in front of me!

Also, why am I trying to optimise for these imaginary people who won't last a full 60 seconds of me? To be clear, everyone in my community on the call was sublime. It was my head that wasn't.

There are eleventy-tenty billion things that can cause a women to wonder 'is this it for me now?' in respect of her job, location, dreams and aspirations and I can't claim to know all of them.

What I do know is that I see a lot of the following scenarios:

A - She has named her irritant, but just hasn't gotten around to doing anything about it yet. The 'yet' is doing some bloody heavy lifting here. It's been vexing her for months. At least.

B - She doesn't know the 'what', but she knows something is decidedly 'off' despite her great life. She might know deep down, but hasn't wanted to give it airtime or even share.

C - She knows exactly what or who the problem is. It's 'just' her boss, her company, her colleague. She also hasn't made any changes yet. This is often because the 'just' thing isn't as the root of the problem.

    We'll uncover that fairly quickly.

If there's THIS much complexity in chatting about who I work with and help, I'm ok with not nailing a one liner.

I help women give themselves permission to question their situation, their good-on-paper lives and where they want to go next.

If you can't boil down the annoying little git sat on your shoulder, chirping in your ear - in one sentence - but reading the A,B or C is hitting nearer the target, DM me which one and we'll have a chat.

*is there an english version of this? 'Lift pitch'? 🤣
