To TELL or Not to TELL- THE VALUE OF ASKING A GOOD QUESTION!
We want our staff to think for themselves DONT WE? to be able to offer ideas and suggestions - so why do we need to tell them what to do all the time?
Asking a good open question stimulates the individual to be more aware and creative ..
EXAMPLES MIGHT BE - What do you want / need to have happen? / What is stopping you from having that now / What will having it do for you?
These are all good questions - let them come up with the answers, encourage their creativity.. Give them time to
consider their options - and watch them fly HELP THEM TO DO IT FOR THEMSELVES and feel the confidence grow
