As an SME it isn't unsual to battle constantly with your cashflow and with minimal staff, it's you as the owner who needs to do it, on top of every other area of the business which needs managing.
This can lead to 'just scraping through' each month. What do you do? You can't afford to employ someone on a permanent basis as funds won't allow but you need someone to enable you to focus on other areas and drill down in to the business finances to maximise profitability and build cash.
