In 2014 60% of small businesses experienced a cyber-breach averaging a cost to the business, in the worst cases this was > £50,000.
Cyber Security is about protecting your computer based equipment systems from unintended use. As the use of internet grows in business the risk from cyber security attack increases.
The government has launched a certification scheme for businesses to demonstrate to their customers they are “cyber safe”. The scheme is called “Cyber Essentials”.
The government has produced a small booklet for small businesses “what you need to know about cyber security”.
