As the majority of us have, or will, experience, misfortunes in our careers are par for the course.
You may have already experienced redundancy caused by some of the following: 'divisional closure', 'company bankruptcy', 'takeover bids', 'company sale', 'irrational board decisions', 'loss of a major contract’, ‘key personnel resignations', 'a colleague taking credit for your achievements’, ‘market collapse'.
But even if you haven’t, don’t get complacent: as Will Rogers said, "Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."
