We recently received three failed vintage storage devices from a very unfortunate customer. They consisted of an external Lacie Big Disk containing two hard drives. An external WD MyBook and an external G-Drive both containing single hard drives. All three had old style Firewire & eSata type interfaces.
The Lacie Big Disk required our RAID recovery process . The G-Drive contained a Video hard drive that required our proprietary format recovery process. The WD MyBook was hardware encrypted and needed our decrypt process to recover. All devices had different challenges which we successfully recovered from. Being Vintage does not mean unrecoverable.
