Summary
ABTC Clinical Animal Behaviourist. International speaker/Author. Mentor/Supervisor. Expert witness. Behaviour change consultant.
I work clinically with veterinary surgeons and owners, using effective, evidence-based methods to understand and resolve horse and dog behaviour problems, combining my extensive practical experience with Masters level behavioural science knowledge.
I graduated with first class honours in Psychology and hold an MSc with distinction in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I am professionally certified at the highest level by the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors and the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants, granting me registration with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist.
I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society, academic member of the International Society for Equitation Science and a professional practitioner member of the British Veterinary Behaviour Association, the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour and A-Law.
As a cross-disciplinary behaviour change adviser I write, present, lecture, supervise and mentor internationally on all aspects of behaviour and consulting, and in my role as an expert partner in Human Behaviour Change for Animals I present talks and facilitate workshops on human behaviour change, specialising in effective communication and reflective learning. I also consult on clinical behaviour cases in Europe, Turkey and Jordan. I take clinical equine and canine behaviour cases and equine expert witness cases and am available for student supervision, professional mentoring, academic research interviews and focus groups, rehoming, temperament and welfare assessments and presentations/workshops/articles/book contracts.
