Background
Geoff trained in management and owned and ran a successful country house hotel in the Lake District before getting involved in television and conference production in the 1980s through what was known as British television’s toughest quiz, The Krypton Factor. He started as a contestant and was then invited by the producers to become a consultant, creating many of the show’s more difficult mental and lateral thinking challenges.
At that time he also started his own production company which has since produced hundreds of hours of broadcast TV for ITV, BBC and satellite channels, as well as countless conferences and videos for its corporate clients.
Experience
As an external consultant Geoff has worked at board and exec team level with many national and international companies, both delivering presentation skills training and creating the communications required to deliver their business transformation and change management programmes. He works directly with the senior team to design, develop, script and manage the presentation of the relevant messages at meetings, conferences and on video. Geoff is also a regular pro bono supporter of various charities, producing large scale fundraising events on their behalf.
The many and varied corporate communications he has been involved with over the last three+ decades, within a variety of different business sectors, have given him a unique insight into the workings of large and small businesses which make him a positive addition to any board.
