    I founded HR Influence Limited in March 2015 as I wanted to use the HR and commercial experience I had gained working in business to support employees and managers of SME's.     Providing flexible HR consultancy support to the business, creating a people strategy with a structured plan for implementation of HR improvements.

     

    This includes HR support to senior leaders and line management covering resourcing, salary reviews, employment contract and policy review.

     

    The direct resourcing strategy saved c. £15,000 for 4 hires compared to agency fees. I also reviewed benefits and added a stakeholder pension scheme, supported a restructuring exercise and improved compliance.

    During this assignment, the resourcing strategy put in place saved Blackfoot ca. £75,000 compared to typical agency costs, while hiring 15 staff without using any recruitment agencies.

Set up and run the Human Resource function from start-up. As stand-alone HR Manager supported executives, managers and employees on all aspects of employment legislation, company policy, reward, performance management, employee relations, development, engagement and retention. Following company growth led and coached the HR team, integrated on- and off-shore personnel and practices, managed outsourced relationships for employee benefits, payroll and immigration.     Responsibility for HR / H&S / Facilities function for the Datalect Perivale Service Division employing up to 450 staff (field / site engineering, repair centre, logistics, call centre, sales, finance and support) leading a team of 7. Managed a generalist Human Resource service, advised management & employees on company policy, employment law, performance management, reward & change management. Influenced company strategy, translating it into the HR plan and focused employee initiatives. Implemented TUPE transfers, outsourcing activities and redundancy programmes. Created and integrated HR / H&S policies & procedures ensuring best practice. Promoted good employment relations and communication; ensured and monitored staff satisfaction. Resourcing, implemented a strategic managed sourcing model. Provided management information.

    The Datalect Perivale division was acquired by Wincor Nixdorf in 2003. I managed the business / cultural change initiatives at the Perivale division, integrated the HR function, aligned Company processes and handled the restructuring measures following the acquisition.
