Summary
After 13 years in business and retail banking, I am excited to have joined EK Employment Law Consultants as the Business Development Manager which has over 18 years experience in assisting Insolvency Practioners with Employes Rights Act issues, we assist with the following
Facilitation of all aspects of employee ERA claims
Site visits with Insolvency Practitioner
Completion of statutory forms
Completion of P35's & P45's
Calculation of all employee and subrogated claims for any purpose
Also It is a common misconception that directors' of insolvent companies have no statutory rights in relation to redundancy, leading a considerable number of directors' to miss out on claiming what can be a substantial sum.
Like any other employee of an insolvent company, as a director you may be entitled to receive redundancy pay, notice pay, arrears of wages and holiday pay, irrespective of shareholding.
Whilst any director can make a redundancy claim, only those that can prove their employee status are ultimately successful. Without the right advice this complex area of law can prove extremely difficult to navigate often leading to a failed claim. However, with our expert help this can become a simple and fruitful process requiring minimal input on the part of the director.
We often receive contact from directors' whose claims have failed having decided to proceed alone without seeking professional guidance. Whilst we can still assist in limited circumstances, the prospects of success are drastically reduced. It is therefore essential that we are involved from the outset.
During the past 15 years, the advice we have given to directors' has resulted in countless positive outcomes. The insight and technical expertise we have gained over this period coupled with our commitment to keeping abreast of the continually evolving criterion affords our clients' confidence and peace of mind.
We are expanding our services in the new year to help directors with their finances following a liquidation in both aspects, business and personal.
Expertise
I have a proven track record in relationship management and business development. I personally specialise in finance, with 9 years in Business Banking. This means i am familiar with the issues that firstly lead to companies becoming insolvent, and secondly the difficulties in rebuilding after an insolvency, whether this is starting trading again or moving on to employment.
Areas I specialise are business planning, business finance such as Invoice Finance and Asset finance, with access to niche market place players. My years in business banking gained me experience in all sectors of business but especially in Haulage and Construction related industries, helping my partner build and grow a successful suspended ceiling and dry lining company, who's clients include VUE cinemas, Primark and Debenhams.
