H&MV Engineering Case Study
The client was previously using multiple security providers for a range of services and not receiving a level of consistency on various projects. Our Commercial Team advised that we could cover all aspects of security for H&MV in the UK and provide additional ad-hoc services as required.
The primary objectives were:
1. The standardisation of security services across projects in the UK, and the improvement
of service delivery from the supply chain.
2. Have one point of contact for multiple disciplines (Fire, CCTV, Guarding, Temporary CCTV).
3. Implement a national pricing structure across the UK, with one supplier and accounts team
sending invoices and correspondence.
4. To create a long term partnership, building trust and putting the end client at ease regarding
project safety and security.
Solutuions
1. Site Surveys and Design – working with local
Project Managers and site teams to understand
requirements on a site-by-site basis.
Designing temporary CCTV solutions with thermal
camerasto cover vast sites and a full integrated
solution for project completion.
2. CCTV Installations – Solar temporary CCTV
Towers and Ajax Units for sites with no power and in
remote areas, giving the client peace of mind during
project build.
Installing large complex fixed CCTV system for
project delivery and protecting battery storage
facility with NSI gold monitoring and annual PPM
visits.
3. Guarding – during the main phase of
project delivery, Secur-it would recruit a Gateman
to ensure all deliveries and visits were logged.
Dog Handlers are also deployed during winter
months and to protect high value equipment. There
is 24/7 manned presence on remote sites, in order to
directly respond to any alarm activations from Solar
CCTV Towers.
4. Additional Services – Timelapse Cameras to
capture full cycle of builds, Biometric Turnstiles to
control access of sub-contractors, cleaning services
for site cabins and PAT Testing for electrical items.
Outcomes& Results
Enhanced Security – the blended solution of guarding and cctv provided
H&MV projects a safer more secure environment during build stage.
Significant Loss Reduction – the strategic approach and site risk
assessments provided a security solution that in the last 12 mo nths
has passed without any critical incidents and ensured a smooth
process for project delivery timescales
Long Term Partnership – the successful implementation of Secur-it
products and services on site has strengthened the relationship with
both parties and secured a strategy for 2025 upcoming projects
