Summary
Kristin Frazer is the founder and design director of Trèfle, Inc in the British Virgin Islands. Born from a rich inheritance of fabric and fashion, Trèfle designs embodies the boldness of artistry that is present in the culture of the BVI.
After receiving her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and Marketing and interning for Carolina Herrera and BCBG Max Azria in the spring of 2006, Kristin returned home and as a next generation seamstress herself, she entered a new world of fashion, and in 2008, launched Trèfle; a swim and resortwear company focused on men, women and children. Now 11 years in, Trèfle has become the home of the Virgin Islands’ most characteristic fashion choices with product offerings in different labels: Trèfle(Men & Women), Trèfle284(Kids) and TrèfleHOME(Home goods & accessories).
Her success includes press mentions in local, regional and international magazines like Essence, Marie Claire, Ebony and Harper's Bazaar, along with celebrity endorsements from Beyoncé, Blue Ivy, June Ambrose and more. Other highlights include collaborating with US company based Otterbox as the first Caribbean designer to create her own line of fashion symmetry series phone cases in 2017 and 2018. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2019, Essence festival officially launched their first ever Fashion House in New Orleans which hosted over 10 designers including Trèfle and also graced the runway spread of the September 2019 issue fo Essence as one of the "International Designers on the Rise"
Trèfle has grown with far more love and appreciation for its territory with the opportunity to design the opening ceremonial wear for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil and the 2017 Commonwealth games in Australia for the BVI Olympic team and committee. In early 2018, the charitable arm of Trèfle was launched as the 284 Foundation; a British Virgin Islands (BVI) based non-profit organization whose mission is to support creative arts education opportunities for young people in the BVI. Trèfle continues to rebuild the brand post Hurricane Irma with vibrant capsule collections each year as we invite you to "Our home...Your paradise".
