Summary
Pass the Keys, who started in 2015 in London, are expanding fast and have now arrived in Chester. Operated by Chester locals, Matt and Lisa Burton, this new kind of property management firm aims to help their clients boost their income through short-letting.
Short-letting (aka holiday lets) has seen a huge increase in Chester over recent years thanks to platforms like Airbnb who have connected short-term guests with flexible hosts, creating a new income stream for homeowners.
Hosting guests create work, however, and lots of it. This is the problem that Lisa, Matt and Pass the Keys are trying to solve as professional co-hosts of Airbnb. Matt says: “A single property can take as many as 10 hours each week to manage, and that is assuming that nothing goes wrong! Most people do not have this kind of time to spare, so with Pass the Keys, this will no longer matter! We do everything from creating the listing and finding the guests to checking them in and cleaning up after them! It has been great to partner with Pass the Keys as they already have 5 years’ experience and have learned how to deliver a high-quality service in what is a very complex environment”.
