Summary
Marcus Kinlay is a highly-experienced and inventive management consultant. He is focussed on the analysis of business processes and the application of data science, analytics and technology to business challenges especially in financial services.
Marcus was an instrumental part of growing a Data Analytics team from 35 to 180 people and increasing revenues from £9M to over £25M, being involved in setting strategy, business development, delivery and recruitment.
As a seasoned project manager as well, he has successfully built several complex IT solutions, including a debt trading platform, reference data management utility and “next generation” trader surveillance platform. This has often included working closely with clients to understand and prioritise their needs and managing diverse teams of both in-house and third-party resources.
He has solid experience in regulatory compliance environments and has led investigations into fraud and market abuse, helping clients to uncover abuse and also provide reasonable defence to regulators. He helped clients identify, quantify and remediate mis-sold PPI and IRD products, enabling them to successfully manage the regulators, press and public.
