Expertise
- Merger and Acquisitions

Summary
I worked for Barclays Bank all my working career and did a number of different management roles there, including being a Relationship Director in the Professional Services Team in London for the last 10 years I was there. I left the bank in 2014.
My main current focus is on working with solicitors practices who are interested in a merger or acquisition. I work closely with a law firm merger company (Ampersand Legal) who have successfully completed 8-9 M&A deals a year in their recent history.
Some smaller law firms have succession issues or are facing increased Professional Indemnity Insurance premiums. I may be able to assist such firms through a merger with a larger firm.
In addition, most of the law firms I currently talk to are struggling to recruit good lawyers so it is difficult to grow organically and I suggest to them “if you can’t hire, why not acquire?” An acquisition can be an easier, cheaper and quicker option than recruitment at the present time.
I can also help solicitors who are considering a consultant role. Many solicitors are finding that they can work productively from home since the pandemic and some of these are now interested in switching to working on a consultancy basis, which can give them increased flexibility and be more rewarding, both in terms of job satisfaction and earnings. If these solicitors need any help finding consultant roles, I may be able to help them make the switch.
In terms of finance, does your businesses need help with factoring/invoice discounting? This can often be achieved via to my introducer agreement with Clive Pacey, an experienced broker in this field.
