• Design/implementation and commissioningOver my time working at Ingham’s I have worked on various projects ranging from the complex to very simple. Some of the major projects that I have worked on are:
• Gas Stunning System ($7,000,000). This has just been approved. I worked alongside the project manager to compile information and quotes from several suppliers and contractors. Working alongside the project manager led me to collaborate with the main equipment supplier; I gave a detailed specification of machinery, as well as the layout of equipment. It enabled me to work with internal clients to ensure their needs for equipment performance and functionality were met.
• Water Treatment Tanks ($3,000,000.00). This project has been going since December of last year and to be completed early June. I was involved in the initial design process while assisting the pervious project manager; after he left I took over as lead on the project.
• Live Bird Holding ($2,800,000.00). This project ran for 9 months and has reduced the number of dead birds found on arrival since the implementation of the project. Construction was given to Wiley Construction; I assisted the original project manager through the conceptual phase and early construction after he left I took over as site liaison until the new project manager arrived.There have also been multiple smaller capital projects (>$500,000); these were mainly equipment installations and equipment layout changes. I was mainly involved in the quotation and tendering for equipment, conceptual layouts, assisting the project manager in meetings, performing “general tasks” while supervising installations and contractors during shut down periods.
