Summary
Simon joined Fellows as an Environmental Planner in July 2011 following two years at Wardell Armstrong LLP, where he led the preparation of planning applications and tenders for major infrastructure projects and waste management developments including landfill sites, recycling centres and Waste to Energy facilities.
Simon leads any planning projects that Fellows Environmental are involved with, using his experience and understanding of the planning system to determine what issues need to be looked into, finalise the production of any documents and act as a close point of contact for clients. Combined with his Masters Qualification and experience, as a licentiate member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and a Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management, Simon is knowledgeable of a wide range of issues and has a high success rate of applications which he has managed.
Additionally, Simon is able to draw from his previous experience in the design sector to produce marketing materials and transfer his skills into related areas such as conducting Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and specialist surveys for dilapidation and redundant services. He can produce photomontages and fly-throughs and other such graphical entities which might be required for submission alongside planning applications or impact mitigation works.
