Summary
I have extensive experience working within criminal law, both for the defence and the prosecution. As a defence lawyer, I regularly represent clients who are interviewed under caution for a wide variety of offences, including serious sexual offences, complex fraud and homicide. I am an accomplished advocate, having spent many years conducting my own trials in the Magistrates Court.
I was also formerly employed by the Crown Prosecution Service as a Senior Crown Prosecutor in the Thames Valley Crown Court team. My responsibilities included reviewing case files, providing legal advice and analysing and preparing serious cases for trial in the Crown Court. One of my key responsibilities was to provide pre-charge advice to the police. This involved analysing whether there was sufficient evidence to charge suspects with particular offences. This makes me especially adept at drafting pre-charge representations on behalf of my clients.
In my last role I held a senior position within a criminal defence firm who specialise in representing high-net worth individuals and celebrities. During my time there I refined my skills in drafting pre-charge representations on behalf of clients. I handled cases involving complex fraud, seious violence, sexual offences and traffic matters.
I am extremely personable and build a strong rapport with my clients, many of whom I have kept in touch with after the conclusion of their cases.
