My background spans IT service management, infrastructure, and operational leadership across small providers, large corporate environments, and the charity sector. That mix has shaped a practical, people‑first approach to IT: clear communication, sensible decisions, and services that are dependable rather than distracting.
I focus heavily on service operations — ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and quietly reliable, so businesses can stay productive without being pulled into technical detail. I’m particularly interested in the point where technology, process, and leadership meet, and where good decisions prevent problems long before they become incidents.
I’m known for being calm under pressure, commercially aware, and comfortable challenging outdated ways of working when there’s a better option. I value clarity, accountability, and outcomes over noise or buzzwords.
I actually met my wife through a previous role, where we discovered a shared interest in travel. Together, we’ve travelled widely across the world — including parts of Nepal, India, South America, and South‑East Asia — experiences that have shaped how I think about adaptability, perspective, and working with people from very different backgrounds.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my daughter — often cycling together, sometimes off‑road — and switching off by building LEGO (enthusiastically, and unapologetically, as an adult). Both are good reminders that problem‑solving doesn’t always have to be serious to be effective.
