Rob’s problem-solving is razor sharp cutting through to the true root-cause. Rob can then give you options, with all the pros & cons, as well as his opinions about doing the right thing. I also find Rob an easy person to talk to, be that work or otherwise which is why I keep in touch even though we no longer work together. Rob’s a great “sounding board”, supportive and encouraging as well as good company. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Rob, and truly hope our work-paths cross again in the future.

I worked as a Contractor alongside AND on a project with the Department for Education. As the Delivery Lead, Rob showed exemplary leadership skills, ensuring open communication with the team and leaving no stone unturned.

Rob had the challenge of leading not only a cross-disciplinary team but also a team that consisted of agency colleagues, DfE staff and a number of contractors - each with varying capabilities and a mixed understanding of agile ways of working. I worked as part of Rob's team during the Early Careers Payments service Design with the DfE and AND Digital. From the start of the project right through to the end of the UCD phase, I can honestly say that Rob has been one of the best Delivery leads I have had the privilege to work with.

As a manager I always found Rob to be genuine and authentic. He removes any corporate formality, replacing it with a down to earth, human touch. He focuses on the person in the equation rather than the process and this is a great way to lead a team and create a positive environment to work in - always being approachable and caring about his squad.

Not only does Rob lead well on the ground, but his work ethic and ability to juggle many demands is equally impressive - he's studying at an advanced level, managing complex client engagements, leading a team and balancing family life all at once! No doubt, this is what makes him so effective in the project delivery space - he knows how to get things done.

For sure, Rob is someone to have on your team, or better yet, leading it.

Rob was an absolute delight to work with, having a concrete understanding of the calibre of the candidate he wanted... while also remaining realistic made the hiring process a breeze and truly galvanise any relationships he makes.

outside of these areas, Rob was able to add some real value by explaining some of the more intricate areas to some of us less technical members clearly and accurately.... despite how stupid he might have thought the question was... He never let it show.

Rob has been a steady presence throughout my time at AND, and whilst we have never worked together especially closely from on a day-to-day, I’ve been blessed with knowing he’s there when I need him! Rob cuts straight down to the essence of a conundrum, offering a much needed dose of frank and honest advice. He tells you what you need to hear, even if that doesn’t align with what you want to hear.

I’ve grown far more confident in my own abilities due to the guidance I’ve received from Rob, especially when handling delivery roles.
