Facilitating the future in Barcelona
Last week, I facilitated a session at a Human Systems Dynamics Gathering in Barcelona.
I wanted to explore a problem I keep noticing in organisations: when uncertainty increases, our instinct is often to analyse harder, plan further ahead and search for certainty that simply isn’t available.
So instead of asking the room to predict what comes next, I designed a session around noticing what is already changing: the signals, patterns and possibilities that are easy to miss when we are focused on finding an answer.
Because the future rarely arrives all at once.
It leaves traces first.
