❄️ Cryotherapy – More Than Just a Cosmetic Treatment

❄️ Cryotherapy – More Than Just a Cosmetic…

When most people hear the word cryotherapy, they often think of aesthetics and beauty treatments.

In reality, cryotherapy has been used in healthcare for many years to treat a wide range of common benign skin lesions quickly and effectively.

As an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner and Foot Health Practitioner, I regularly meet people who have been living with a skin lesion for years because they assumed it was "just part of getting older" or that nothing could be done.

Common examples include:

👣 Verrucae causing pain when walking

✋ Warts affecting confidence or comfort

🌿 Skin tags catching on clothing or jewellery

☀️ Age and sun spots becoming more noticeable over time

🔴 Cherry angiomas (those small red spots many of us develop as we age)

One of the reasons I recently introduced CryoPen Cryotherapy to Prima Medica is because it provides another treatment option for patients who may have been struggling with these issues for months or even years.

Cryotherapy works by precisely freezing unwanted tissue, allowing the body to naturally remove it over time.

The treatment is:

✅ Quick

✅ Minimally invasive

✅ Well tolerated

✅ Suitable for a variety of benign skin lesions

✅ Performed following clinical assessment

What I particularly enjoy is helping people understand what their lesion actually is. Often the biggest relief comes from finally having an explanation and discussing the available treatment options.

As healthcare professionals and business owners, we often focus on major health concerns, but sometimes it's the small things that have the biggest impact on confidence, comfort and quality of life.

Have you ever had a skin lesion, verruca or wart that you've simply "put up with" because you assumed nothing could be done?

I'd be interested to hear what health concerns people commonly ignore when help may actually be available.
